Digital Recording & Reporting

To use a complete turnkey solution for online digital video, survey and data capture during the pipeline survey. It has been designed specifically to replace the current S-VHS recording methods. A comprehensive set of system tools enables simultaneous real-time encoding of up to 4 analogue or digital ROV video cameras with no noticeable loss of image quality. During offline review, direct access and video playback synchronisation greatly reduce the data processing time and effort. Furthermore, the generation of digital reports provides clients with direct access to video footage from their desktop computer.

The digital system incorporates and allows integration with other survey applications. Online survey data would continually stream into the digital recording system for encoding with the video. This data does not 'overlay' on top of the video, but is encoded within the video stream to allow synchronised playback. During processing and review, the archived survey data can be updated and can be used as search criteria for directly and quickly accessing video at a given position or event such as anode, crossing, free span, weight coat damage etc.
