Entry Level Requirements:
An electrical or electronics qualification & or working history is recommended for the
ROV Pilot Technicians Course. If you do not have any of this then please consider
our 3 in 1 course which covers Electronics –fibre optics/Hydraulics/High Voltage and
can be taken at the same time.
Note: BOSIET offshore survival is included in the price.
We include in the cost of the Rov Pilot Technicians Course the OPITO/BOSIET UK
recognized Offshore Survival, Helicopter Escape, First Aid and Fire Fighting training
at the same location. If you do not need this because you already work offshore and
have it then you can cancel it on the booking form and get a reduction in cost but
you will need this from somewhere to work offshore anywhere in the world.
Underwater Training Area:
As part of the course you will fly over and inspect and manipulate various
offshore simulated oilfield objects including but not limited to: SubSea
Pipeline, Anodes, SubSea Valves, Platform Bracing Node etc.
You will learn ROV survey procedures.
You will learn to operate an ROV 3 function manipulator.
You will gain many hours hands on flying.
You will learn Rov maintenance
Mobilisation of system to and from worksite;
Pre-Post dive check procedures;
Open water flying techniques, dive procedures using navigational
instruments;
Subsea video survey techniques, procedures using onboard instruments,
cameras;
Record and dive report keeping;
Night flying procedures/techniques; (Weather and location permissible)
Demobilisation of complete system
ROV Wreck Surveys:
Though not guaranteed and not promised as part of the course
During the course it is usually possible for us to do some real wreck Surveys
Subic Bay has many 1st, 2nd World War and later wrecks where delegates can
practice real wreck Rov survey techniques.

Notes:
a) Students will be assessed throughout the course on performance.
b) No smoking allowed in the classroom or on dive site. (Designated smoking
areas only)
c) Each student should be issued with the following:
Course manual (we have and probably issue on CD Rom)
Personal ROV log (issued only at the end of the course)
Course certificate.
Delegates need to be in Subic on Sunday the day before the course.
We arrange free transport Sunday from Manila Airport to your accommodation.
We also arrange hotels according to your booking request and payment.
All we need is your flight arrival details. You will receive a welcome pack explaining
