Subnet Trains US Navy Personnel as ROV Pilot Technicians

Subsea Simulated Wellhead Xmas Tree Improvements at Subnet Rov Training Area

The simulated wellhead xmas tree was taken out of the water and more features added. This will give delegates more tasks to complete and even allow 2 x rov to work at the same time. Manipulator tasks, valve operation and key tasks improved. The picture shown is a real xmas tree and not the one used at Subnet Rov Training School

Simulated Platform Node for ROV Training added to seabed rov training area. A node is where vertical, horizontals and diagonal tubular platform bracings meet.

Simulated Platform Bracing Added for Subnet Services ROV Pilot Training Area

More ROV Competences Reviewed and Added to the Subnet ROV Courses

Course altered to reflect some industry competence requirements. Small adjustments to some course modules to reflect ROV Industry competence requirements for ROV Pilot Tech 2. Better Dive Video Reporting and Recording to DVD and basic ROV CP surveys. These are competences Subnet have added on top of the required IMCA R04 competences after requests from ROV companies.

Re Assessed the Anode For ROV Pilot Training Course Students

Checked that the anode on the simulated jacket bracing is realistic for ROV students to do visual inspection on. Students will now be able to search for and inspect the bracing to find anodes and the report on condition. They can also use this area for CP Survey training.

Subnet Services Add a Third ROV for their ROV Pilot Technician Training

To allow more flying time for ROV Pilot Technician training course delegates Subnet have added a third ROV with gripper, sonar, NDT probe and high quality video.
